I booked the van for 11 am and the man called me at 9:30 saying would it be okay if he came at 10:30 as he lives in my area. I said no as this was rather inconvenient. He still showed up 20mins early but waited patiently without any moaning. Drove the van smoothly which is highly appreciated as I had lots of very fragile items which I did not want to be flying around the van. There was a couple blankets, a duvet and straps, as well as a platform with wheels which would be useful to use if moving furniture. Van was bigger than i expected and was rather clean inside. Overall, very very pleased with the service and I will definitely recommend to family and friends, and will be more than happy to book them again. | 7 years ago |

Driver's response: "I finished the job within the booked time, towards the end of the booking I accepted a new booking via a text message I received which took no longer than one minute. We had a lot of things to move, some big ikea wardrobes, and had to take down 2 flights, and squeeze through doorways. It was a lot of hard work, and we had a lot of things to take, but we managed to fit everything and Costin was very strategic in making sure everything fit in. He also called to say that he was bringing his friend as they have a job together after and whether this was ok (I had only booked one driver). Once they completed they job they told me i had to pay the remaining balance in cash (when the email said after i paid the deposit, i could pay the outstanding balance in either cash or card), i said i only had card and he said that was not accepted so i went to the local cash point. I was also told that i had to pay an extra £20 for the work that the friend he brought along did.
CMV Response: We are very sorry that there appears to be confusion over this booking. Regarding payment, on confirming a booking we do give the option to pay either the deposit or whole amount by card. If you choose to pay the deposit only, we ask that you pay the balance in cash to the driver at the end of the move and we do not send any communications stating otherwise. The driver confirms that he agreed with the customer on arrival that the second helper would be prepared to assist with the move for a payment of £20. | 7 years ago |

The driver was a great guy, turned up on time and started work straight away, helped with moving everything. I drove to the location separately and he turned up 10mins after and helped with all the unloading. I would very happily use him again and highly recommend him.

I only moved one large item over a short distance but I will definitely recommend them and use them again in future. The only problem was that Louis was suppose to bring two helpers but only brought one helper with him as the second helper had to leave earlier. But the two of them managed to do the job nevertheless.

I can't fault him at all. Exemplary service. 5/5.

Driver was on time Had straps and blankets Driver was respectful It should be much more clear that the charges for overtime should be paid by cash, directly to the driver immedaitely after the job. My driver was nice but didn't have much people skills when us communicating this and took a ridiculous long route to the destination not avoiding any traffic which I then had to pay for in overtime (I drove behind him and he kept going a long way round, in the end I gave up and was there at least 15 minutes before him) . I reccomend you sharing the journey estimate with the driver and the route you used in that estimate.
