Friendly, professional team that worked very quickly! Parking in my pickup area is a nightmare so can’t blame them for any issues with that. Would 100% recommend.
5 fabric rolls were left behind and I only realised that when they were missing at the destination. Obviously no one checked my floor whether everything was picked up while I was downstairs preparing other stuff for moving. I was charged £40 extra for taking few things down from the second floor as the booking system doesn’t register floors plus either the drivers had an extra paid hour, they refused to go back for the missing items saying that the boss requested additional payment for the mileage ( like 3 miles return trip)- never mind it was their mistake.
Luckily my fabrics were still by my door and no one stolen them but I can’t take them to my studio as the rolls are too long. So overall experience it’s really shit and wasted time .

The driver and his colleague were super efficient and helpful. I challenged them by asking them to lower a 3 seater sofa from a 1st floor balcony and they handled the problem with ease. Would definitely recommend these guys!

They changed the slot the day before which wasn’t too much of a problem.
The issue was at collection they demanded £20 extra in cash as there were stairs. - which seems incredible given they were moving beds.
Then upon arrival demanded extra for 4 flights of stairs in a 3 storey house which is impossible.
I had builders who kindly offered to take up the beds for me. They left the bed frame on the pavement.
A very poor service I would not recommend at all.

They made my move so much easier and I cannot thank them enough for all the hard work they did on such a hot day with all the weight and stairs. As the previous move took longer, they even skipped their lunch and came straight to my place to not let me wait. Would definitely recommend them.

Avoid at all cost. There are lots of other good moving companies out there who are nice and respect the customer, this time I made a mistake to book this company but I know that I will never hire this company again nor recommend to anyone.
They were polite and speedy with the job but they were over an hour late. They also went the wrong way to the delivery address which was a bus and black cab route only.

Alex and his helper were so lovely and made me feel super comfortable. There were no problems at all and the move went really quickly and effortlessly. They were overall very positive and solution oriented and breezed through the whole thing. One of the best moving experiences I’ve had in London - highly recommend.

Even though driver arrived late, he informed me that he would be late. The problem was not with the driver and his assistant but with the van, which had straps but no blankets and the back lift failed to close after the van was packed. This problem was resolved manually, but it delayed the move by a further half hour.

40 min late and took much longer than expected to clear the flat. Also left the contents in a very hurried fashion as they were late for the next job. However generally helpful and pleasant.
Apart from damaging a couple of items the two guys didn't where gloves,leaving black handprint marks on all of the white goods which was very difficult to clean

Driver was a little late but only by 20 mins. He and his colleague had a lot of stairs to climb and it took 2 hours longer than expected but they didn’t complain, worked hard and were very friendly throughout.

Overall I was happy with the drivers. They were 2.5 hours late due to problems on a previous job. I was charged extra for being on the 4th floor even though I thought I had already stated that and paid for it. I was also charged extra for them getting suck in traffic which although it was horrendous ( 3 London bridges and 1 tunnel closed) wasn't my fault.

Driver arrived early. The driver and helper handled an extremely heavy wooden sideboard down four flights of stairs with very little difficulty and were happy to make an additional stop to collect a piece of furniture that had just been bought. Excellent service.

Super professionals. The guys have all needed special equipment including straps & trolley. Their van is equipped with an elevator. I didn't even move a finger, all the job was done by a driver & his helper on time.

I would definitely recommend this removal company. The 2 guys who did my move were extremely polite and respectful. They made what could of been a stressful day a walk in the park. My 2 children loved the fact that they also interacted with them in a friendly manner. I couldn’t of asked for a better quality service.

Removal men can quite literally make or break, your removal day. Mike and Constantine made the day effortless and it ran without a hitch. They were incredibly pleasant and friendly whilst also being professional at the same time. They arrived with time to spare and listened and understood what the plan was for the day. They then very speedily and efficiently got on with it all! There were two drop off points and both were coordinated very successfully. My storage unit was packed with care and attention, leaving us space for the remaining items in the house at a later date.
I can thoroughly recommend them and, location allowing, wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for our next move. Thank you for managing a stress free move for me.

Absolutely fantastic service, and I had been really worried about finding a good man and van option. These guys arrived bang on time, were super courteous, respectful with my things, super efficient, nothing seemed to be a bother and they worked so hard and fast, total professionals. Couldn’t be happier and (though I hate moving so fingers crossed it won’t be needed for a while yet) next time I need a moving service I will definitely be booking them again!!

Took poor care of our items. Two out of four tables came back damaged. They went for speed as opposed to taking care of the items and finished an hour before the allotted time slot. overall not satisfactory.

Generally friendly, but they broke my lightshade and clearly weren't planning to tell me till I asked. Also I was charged an extra £10 because I said I had one flight of stairs because they only ever had to go up or down one flight to pick up any item, but they charged me for a second flight of stairs.

They dropped several large items like chairs onto the tarmac while loading the van, and scraped a chest of drawers against a wall while moving into the house, causing damage to both the plaster and the furniture. No apology either time. They were cheap, and they were on time, but I wouldn't book them again!!
Moving guys were outstanding. On time (slightly bit early but called and asked). They were quick, efficient, respectful of everything and even assisted dismantling (and then rebuilding) a wardrobe that was too big to fit through the door.
Thoroughly recommend them and will definitely use them again!

Driver + 1 were late by 40mins but they informed an hour in advance. They were fast and careful. They struggled a bit to find the new house as the postcode doesnt show up on Google yet but they were polite and helpful.
The driver was excellent. Friendly and extremely helpful in what was quite a difficult exercise to get a sofa out of a tight entrance. Unfortunately I didn't get the drivers name but it was RST Man and Van and I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Booking made for 2pm. Van over 45 minutes late for appointment. Working in central london this gap in time proves too big a headache. It resulted in only half of the job being able to be completed and me having to book a subsequent driver for tomorrow as the final destination would have been closed. In spite of this problem and the fact the job was not able to be completed due to their lateness only £30 taken off of a £150 pound charge. Will not be using this service again within business hours. If I ran this late in clinic I would have been asked for free sessions and go out of business as a health professional.

Quick and polite. One item had a small blemish but they helped with assembly, disembly and finished in good time.
The drivers arrived early on the day and seemed nice. They were incredibly fast and efficient with the move, however they did seem more concerned with speed that being careful with our belongings, I'm just glad we bubblewrapped as much as we did. There were a couple of small items damaged during the move, which wasn't ideal, and they did apologise at the time. I would use them again, as they were very reasonable, and packed everything well in the van, would just be concerned about how carefully they handled the furniture and boxes at either end.
The driver was late and it took them 3 1/2 hours longer than scheduled to complete the move which included two trips. It was a two bedroom flat with no large cabinets or sofas to move and it should have all been loaded in the first trip. My move was no managed as I would expect.

Hello,
The guys were delayed by 15-20 mins as no one answered the phone when they were calling the customer on arrival.
The booking could not be done any faster as there were many fragile and glass items, like tables, which the drivers could not fit into the van safely in one trip. We are responsible for the items we move and we have to make sure that it is safe to deliver them undamaged.
These guys were excellent. They worked very hard to make sure all of our things were moved quickly and safely.
I would not recommend nor use Compare the Man & Van website again. My requests were completely ignored despite putting them in writing AND calling customer service directly. I was assured that the company attending the job would be aware that this move was for outdoor garden equipment (NOT a house move) and that the Luton truck would have a hydraulic tail lift (it did NOT). Hence the men who attended were NOT PREPARED to do this job , wasting over an hour of time arguing whether or not to do the job at all. This was NOT the fault of the men attending ... it was a complete lack of communication on behalf of Compare the Man & Van . Hence a poor rating

We can confirm that the drivers were fully aware of the nature of this booking and what was being moved, however, on arrival they initially refused to undertake the booking due to the very muddy nature of what was being moved, as this was worse than they expected and they were worried that it would dirty the inside of their van.
The drivers spent an hour discussing this with the head of their company (not Compare the Man and Van) at which point we agreed to send a replacement service so you would not be let down for your move.
However, eventually RST Man & Van agreed to complete the booking.
The move was over 1 hour late and the operator did not even apologise for the lateness. In order to prevent delay, we were forced to move our equipment to the street, doing a lot of the job we had employed them for. Very unhappy and looking for a refund.

Hello,
In answer to this review, as there was an accident on the A406, we had to go through Central London ( Euston Road) and this was beyond our control. There was heavy traffic as the A406 was blocked.
We called the customer in advance and I tried to explain the situation but received rude comments in response that "I have to know my job".
We left 1.5 hrs before the start of the booking and the journey from East London to West London took us 2.5 hrs. The job was completed in 46 mins as, as the customer mentioned, they moved items outside which was very helpful and we are thankful for that. It allowed us to not be late for our further booking. I understand the customer's unhappiness but I am not agreeable to a refund as these were unpredictable obstacles beyond our control.

Even though the driver was late he did ring to say he would be late. I wasn't personally at home when they arrived but my friends who co ordinated the move commented them highly. When they got to my new address they were polite and courteous. I would definitely use them again. Thank you guys

Walked mud all over my carpet as boots was filthy. Charged £10 more for going upstairs which wasn't agreed at the beginning & I didn't receive my 7% discount like stated.

The drivers are unable to remove their footwear whilst undertaking a removal due to health and safety rules, however, would have been happy to cover the carpet with any covering provided.
Any discount code should be entered into the Quote Form at the booking stage of your move. In addition, as no stairs were declared on the booking, the driver was within his rights to levy his stair charge if he was requested to carry goods up or down any flights of stairs.
They were only 15 minutes late so really not bad but service was excellent, would definitely re-use and recommend
The driver was running a little late but gave me plenty of warning and didn't "start the clock" until he arrived, which was appreciated. The whole team was polite, careful with the items but also very quick. Thank you for an excellent service.
The driver and his helper were excellent, however they were 1.5 hours late - which was ridiculous as we nearly missed the entry time for the storage unit. Not good enough
The driver and helper were pleasant, well mannered and on time (hence 3 stars). However whilst moving my furniture they damaged it!! They moved two leather sofas for me both of which are now scratched and ripped!!
Had to drop a star as they were about 40 minutes late, which caused problems for us later in the day.
That aside the move went well. The guys were pleasant enough and did the job needed.

He was late (10-15 mins without explanation or apology) and also hadn't taken on board information about a barrier code which I had sent by email. It was fine, stuff got moved and they were pleasant if a little taciturn, but it wasn't notably praiseworthy service. They seemed in a rush which was surprising given the fact I'd made a 2 hour booking, of which we actually used 1 hour 15 mins.
Really friendly staff. We totally forgot to pack the TV into the van but the staff were so helpful and drove back to collect it after we had unloaded the van. Thank you - they made our move so chilled!
Eddie and Eddie were great. Arrived in good time. Walked through what we wanted moving, and got to it! All covered in the time slot we had agreed, and were champs going up and down the many flights of stairs. Just note, if you do have soft furnishings, I would cover them yourself, our mattresses got a little grubby round the corners, but nothing a little soapy water won't clean!

Arrived late but contacted me earlier to let me know. Removal of items very quick around ten minutes or so. Had a helper but had to help due to driver having to double park because of parking problems (which was not any fault of his). Arrived at destination, had to wait a bit while I could access my storage unit. Driver and helper unloaded everything on to trolleys provided, very quickly and into my storage unit neatly and also very quickly. I tipped them a little extra on top of what I had to pay. Will use this website again in the not to distant future

Excellent on all aspects. All items were loaded within 20 minutes including dismantling my bed! The guys got not only all my things into my new flat with 30 mins to spare they also kindly took my flatmates items inside (and up 2 flights of stairs) and he had moved from another location. Very strong, fast and efficient. Highly recommend! The move was reconfirmed the day before and a text sent in the day. Brilliant service. Thank you.
Oh my gosh these have to be the best committed and passionate movers I've ever met, love them. Will be using them again in the near future. Select these guys, they are amazing.
I was charged extra on the day of the move (after it was all done and we were settling the bill) for having stairs in the old property and no lift. I had already specified this though on the website when booking and this caused me some problem because I didn't have any extra cash. This was frustrating because this should have been clarified before hand.

We do have a lateness refund policy which you will find attached to your booking confirmation and for a delay of this length, you are certainly due a partial refund.
Lift at our storage facility was broken, these guys rocked up and completed the moving task 2hrs quicker than anticipated. Very understanding, and friendly. Highly recommend, will use again!
