If I were to rate Man and Van overall, it would be less than satisfactory. I had TWO driver changes 24 hours before my move (and the changes didn’t match the rating I’d booked initially, with no adjustment to price or compensation for the change).
However, I would rate the drivers who helped with our move 10/10. Friendly, polite and respectful.

I had a cancellation less than 24h before my move which sent me to panic mode.i was assigned a new company. Speaking to Mohammed he was very calm and reassuring. On the moving a bit of delay but other than that everything perfect. Ryan was great funny polite and very helpful. I would for sure recommend them and going forward if ever need to move would get this company only.!!!!

I was contacted 11pm the night before my move to say the driver was not available. My time was booked for 9am. I received a call at 9.45am on the day of the move from Mohamad at Kwikvan to say he had just received the notification for the job. This mean they only arrived at 12md so 3 hours late. Mohammad & team where very helpful & efficient so I would like to thank them for stepping in at the last minute. I would give admin at manandvan 3 stars for organisation & Kwivan 5 stars for the move

Delivery was fine and on time. But one thing I want to highlight that I was under impression that Driver would take me as well along with my stuff but he said he can only take the items and not me because he got the insurance only for the items. This is understandable but this should be communicated before as I had to go on my own later from Cambridge on train and then taxi to my home and my stuff was reached earlier to the location. Fortunately, my friend agreed to receive and check the my stuff at the delivery location but if he was not there , I don't know how I would have managed.

The mover that I hired through Man&Van was replaced at the last moment, so I'm not sure if this review is for the correct movers, but Mohammad's team did an excellent job for me and were genuinely pleasant company through the process. I highly recommend the team that actually did my move and hope my five star rating goes to them and not the team that cancelled on me.

The move was super stressful as the driver we originally had dropped us 12 hours before the move. Then the van was two hours late which caused me a lot of stress. But the driver was lovely, very helpful and super quick. He really made up for all the inconveniences caused due to the driver change and delay

There are 2 points to note here. Driver was 10/10; CompareTheManandVan (CMV) 3/10.
Mohamad at Alay Transport was truly exceptional. My previous driver cancelled at 1am on the day for an 8am pickup. Mohamad went out of his way to help get the move done in an already tight schedule. We missed our 8am pickup, but this is completely understandable as the new driver only saw this notification when they awoke as it was assigned at 1am by CMV!
The cancellation on the day of the move (within 6 hours if you count their travel time to pickup destination) completely screwed up our plans and there should be a massive penalty to the original company and compensation to the client.
If Mohamad never took this job, it would have cost us a massive amount of money as well as making us homeless as we both took time off work and had to meet people before they left the country to get keys! I ended up doing the move alone with Mohamad and my partner went to meet the people so we had a place to stay.
This was the second cancellation on an advanced booking. CMV - your systems need urgent attention, this type of circumstance is completely unacceptable. I should also be able to leave a review on the previous driver who cancelled at the last minute, because that's completely unreliable!
I've used CMV a few times before with positive outcomes, but after this experience, I'm likely to go elsewhere on the next move. Cancelling at 1am, very unprofessional and not trusted in times of urgent need.
CMV, you're very fortunate Alay transport covered this and did an outstanding job, with care - you should be giving them a bonus!
Get your systems corrected and an explanation to me for 2x cancellations on the same booking would be greatly appreciated.
He was late but made up the time. Was very efficient and seemed like a nice guy. Good attitude and had a plan for stacking to maximise space. Nothing was damaged in the move

The appointment was at 10:00 but driver arrived at 11:45. It was a Sunday, and when I called they were asleep. Although they were apologetic and helpful afterall, it was not ideal to wait almost 2 hours.

Original driver - Cosmin Adrian Nitu did not arrive, blocked my calls and i've never heard since. I was left stranded.
New driver - Alay Transport Mohamed - very quick to do the job and friendly lads.
The price was very reasonable and the service was better than expected. A very helpful driver.
Ryan did an incredible job, was so friendly and we couldn't have done it without him, especially as we had quite a lot of stairs. Would give 10 stars if I could :)
