They arrived early which was handy and loaded /unloaded everything for us. Really efficient and friendly.

Although he was late arriving due to unforeseen traffic hold ups he made two calls en route to say he’d been held up and to let me know what time to expect him. Once he arrived he was very apologetic and very helpful, and I’d be happy to recommend him to others

Helpful and kind and caring to us
The driver called to say they could be slightly early if that suited us and arrived bang on the agreed time. Both guys worked quickly and efficiently and we completed the move ahead of schedule. They were friendly and respectful throughout. Would heartily recommend.

I know I paid for a van and no help but it genuinely is such an expensive service particularly when they aren’t willing to do two trips in the times you have paid for. My table was chipped by the end of the drive

Punctual and extremely understanding about our situation which needed care and tact with the elderly gentleman who was moving. Very helpful at both ends with carrying furniture. Would certainly recommend.
The driver was on time and took great care of all the items I needed moved, there were plenty of packing blankets and all possible care was taken can only recommend.

Best man w a van driver i’ve ever worked with! Polite, cheerful, profoundly helpful. Also the fastest ever - he and a helper took about 15 mins each end to pack and unpack and I had loads of stuff (including heavy furniture). Cannot recommend enough!

They was late but I was called explained why late and that’s all I could ask, things happen so was no issue. Both guys where nice, polite, helpful and simply great value for money. I would add that we had planned well which helped the guys move us but all in all 5 stars from us..!

The two chaos, Arthur and Neville from ArtVan, were extremely efficient and very kind in the way they dealt with the move. I would certainly recommend them and would use them again if necessary.

Horrible experience not all my stuff taken did one run and half the time booked. Waste of money scam need to book another van. I have bipolar so you would expect vulnerable person to be treated better. Not left with half her stuff three kids and no money horrific! Helpful no said would send replacement then changed heir mind!!

Polite, courteous and asked us know the day before if we would be okay to push our pick up time back due to the distance between us and the previous job, he also let us know in the day his eta and helped with loading and unloading. Thanks Arthur, everything went smoothly.
I paid for 2 hours and paid around £180, but they only worked for 40 minutes and I got none of my money back, I was charged £18 extra For them to take anything downstairs. I had previously explained on the phone that there was the need for 2 trips, yet when I brought this up with the driver he wanted to charge me an extra £90, I refused as I believed I was already being charged for an extra hour and twenty minutes. Once the guys had left I got a phone call from one of the bosses, saying that they could come in 2-3 days and remove what I wanted for £30. I have since gotten another van to pick this stuff up. While the driver and the guy with him were nice enough, I do not believe I got value for money, I think the website itself that I booked this on was not clear enough during the booking. I needed 2 trips and didn’t get the option, I payed for 2 hours, but they were not obliged to do the full 2.
In summery I paid £180 for 40 minutes of work and believe I have been ripped off by either comparethemanandvan.com or by ArtVan

Good afternoon
In answer to this review, I did my job as per what was on the booking description. The customer did not mention stairs on the booking and that's why I added 9£ x 2 for the booking (18£) which is my stair fee. Also, no mention of via stops was made on the booking as well. At the destination address the customer asked me to take a big sofa and 2 big wardrobes to a previous address. I gave him a quote price for this of 90£ because the items wouldn’t fit into the size of van he ordered (medium) so I would have had to provide a larger van. In addition, as it was an extra job, I needed to pay my helper extra money as he will not work for free and the item was too big and heavy to do by myself. So if the customer had placed the order right in the first place, with all the correct details and did not hide anything, there wouldn’t have been an issue.
If you need more explanation, I'm happy to give more details about this job.
If I knew it would have been this problematic, I would not have taken the job.

CMV's Response: PLEASE NOTE - As part of the quote you receive is based on distance and mileage, the online quote you have received is based on the journey you have entered into the website and does not include multiple trips as standard. If you require more than one trip, this is not a problem and you are able to enter as many trips as you need simply by using the 'add stop' option you will see on the Quote Page, in between where you are asked to enter your collection and delivery postcodes.
If you are not sure how many trips you will actually need, our drivers will be happy to do multiple trips for you on the day but the driver will charge you more on completion of the booking to cover his extra fuel and via stop charges.
Really helped us with the move rather than watch us move stuff into his van unlike other people. And managed to do it all in the time that was estimated. Would not hesitate to call again.

We paid for 4 hours and the new house was a 1 minute drive but he wouldn’t do two trips. So family spent hours in cars. Only took 2 hours and paid for 4 so he should have loaded more as it was not a long drive

Please be aware that the driver would make additional trips for you but would charge his via stop fee for each additional time you asked him to load the van, plus a small mileage fee (generally around £1 per mile) for the additional mileage and fuel.

Arthur and Neville where amazing, got my old house packed, driven over and unpacked into my new apartment well within the time I booked. They then also assembled a very difficult wardrobe for me which took a huge chunk out of there day and charged much much less than your average handy man. Amazing job and would 100% book them again
We were moving a very large 3 seater sofa as part of the move which wasn't easy to manipulate through the doorway. The team were very patient and worked very hard using a lot of strength to ensure that they got it out at our address and in to the receiving address. A job well done.

Arthur and his girlfriend were both really lovely and helpful. Blankets and straps were available for a few fragile items which were also being moved. Disappointed that straps & blankets were not used. I provided some travel rugs for protection between items. When taking furniture into destination, a deep scratch was put in my mahogany wall unit and my microwave was broken beyond repair.
