He was a bit late, but I was not in a rush, so I didn't mind. Really nice guy, friendly and helpful. I tried to help him with the heavy items, but he carried most of them himself. I ordered a small van, but he came with a medium van. Will really recommand him. If you have any queries, contact him directly instead of contacting the website customer service. He is very approachable.
He was really friendly, there were so many stairs and he was chill about having to carry loads of heavy stuff up.
Our driver was helpful and professional despite being delayed by traffic.

"The review says respectful yes. I don’t see any way I did anything wrong. I done my job and that was it, Costotma asked me if I can help and I simply said you booked it as no help required. I’m more happy to help but there will be an additional price. He wasn’t interested so I stayed in my van and drove them to their destination."
Great service, prompt arrival, and nice guys.
Driver turned up 2 hours late. The van was a mess with a range of other belongings in it (mattress etc). The other helper was useless. Complaining of a sore back the whole time and did very little work. He even went and sat in the park while we finished loading the van. He was disrespectful and showed no care or regard for our belongings. He also caused damage to our rented property which is going to be deducted from our deposit. Once we left the original property we walked to the new property quicker than the van as they stopped at the shops. All in all a terrible experience

They were very curious and fast, but careful. Although they were late, they notified me of the delay and kept me updated.
The driver and helpers were really nice people. However I wasn’t told that I had to pay for congestion and there were 20 minutes left as I was helping them.

Todays experience was really bad. I did 4 trips up and down the stairs with furniture in the same time these guys did just one. No smile, almost zero communication and then he tried to overcharge me.
Terrible - they completely scratched the walls on the way out. Had no cover for the sofa - put it fabric side down on the filthy van and stained the fabric. They couldn’t carry the sofa without help. Honestly could not imagine it being worse.

My driver explained to me that when they picked up the sofa it was already slightly damaged. The first pick up address had stairs and was very narrow. It is also listed on the job description that there are no stairs. We do always carry blankets inside the large van and I am informed that the customer wasn’t present at the first pick up address and had bought the sofa from another person. The driver completed 4 additional trips on this booking but couldn’t charge the customer.

Very friendly and efficient. Brought up a few good ideas to help us unlaoad more efficiently which saved a lot of time.
The van back and side doors weren’t working and we couldn’t get our things out of the van when we got to our destination. I had to climb through the van from the front seat over our things in order to open it from the inside.
Luckily it all worked out and we got our stuff but we easily could have been stuck because the van doors were in such a bad state.
The driver was very apologetic though. He was also very helpful in loading and unloading the van

He helped me with lifting my items, treated them gently and had a really positive attitude and I can happily recommend him! Moving is stressful but this driver really helped me out!
I booked this service for a client of mine. I am sorry to say that she has advised that the men were not very competent at packing the van as they were not able to fit in a TV stand, wardrobe and 4 dining chairs. All three items had been fitted into a van of the same size three months earlier.
Unfortunately they had packed the van so badly that when they arrived at the new address, opened the back door of the van my clients slow cooker fell out of the van hitting a car and then smashed on the floor. They also smashed some cups and her kettle. She had to replace the kettle at her own expense.
When in the accommodation the driver and helper, were not able to fit the sofa into the lounge area, due to not being able to fit it through the door to the lounge. This then meant my client was left with a large sofa in her bedroom that she had to arrange to get moved. All the driver and his helper needed to do was walk round the outside of the ground floor flat and access the lounge via the French doors that entered into lounge.
I feel that my client did not get a good service from the two men you subcontracted this job to.
I would therefore be grateful if you would investigate the circumstances that she has reported to me. I would be grateful if you would pursue an reduction in the fee that Bexley Children's Social Care have paid for this removal service, as I do not feel it was the best or of a standard that you like to offer to people.

We did a good job, the only thing that fell was the rice cooker which was in a box. We checked it, and nothing was damaged. About the sofa, it couldn’t fit into one of the rooms, and the lady said it’s okay leave it, which we did. We did what the lady asked us to and unless directed, we obviously don’t know the house well enough to walk around the outside of the premises to find the french doors. However, if the lady had asked us to do it, then of course we would have. We did not smash any cups or kettle although a lot of her things were not packed properly, I even had to ask for an extra bag because her things were packed in a Tesco bag.. In addition, the customers children were also helping with this move.

Really lovely driver, chatty and looked after my stuff on both sides of the move (pick up & drop off)
1.5 hrs late I was emailed he’d be there 10.45. At 11.15 I was told he’d be there at 11.30- shop was closing. at 12.00 he didn’t come till 12.10 despite numerous reassurance that he’d be there on time...ended up in front of tool hire shop, I now have to pay a builder for 3 extra hrs and the builder...

I did explain to the customer that I would be late because I had a customer holding me back from a previous Compare the Man and Van booked job. I did call Compare the Man and Van I didn’t think I would be able to make it, because of the distance to get there, I asked if it was possible to get another driver but I was asked to still make my way which I did. When I got there, I explained to the customer and apologised for being late, he said that’s fine.. I even ended up helping him with the move and didn’t get paid for it as the booking was made for 'no help required'.

Of course I have blankets and straps, I drive a 3.5 ton van, I have to have blankets and straps, I have almost everything like tail pump, flat wheel bored, wheel barrow, ropes, even to two mattresses to protect any valuable items. The customer booked for 'no help required' so it would appear that she didn’t strap her items.

The new driver phoned and told me I would need to pay a congestion charge of �11.50, I asked if it was possible to avoid this and he said no. I have since spoken to other people who drive in London and there is in fact a route that would have avoided this completely. It seemed as if the driver had never packed a van before. He did not come and look at our belongings but asked for 'big things' which we gave him and he proceeded to throw in the van with no system at all, his method seemed to be to use brute force to squeeze things into the van. We ended up with left over items on our laps in the front of the van which had a cracked wing mirror, I did not feel like myself, partner or our belongings were particularly safe. At the destination the driver opened the van doors and several belongings fell out on to the road, thankfully nothing valuable but whilst unpacking my printer also fell down from where it was propped up. Overall not a good experience
Mike was fantastic although late, it was a nice ride. Will use again. There was a glitch on the website which meant two separate drivers arrived but all was sorted smoothly.
