Nice guy who even gave me a lift to my next home which I didn't expect. However, he did not have any blankets so I now have a big scratch/chip in the front of my chest of drawers from where it was pushed onto the van lying on its front. He also dropped a lot of boxes when bringing them to the door, luckily nothing has been broken. A little more care would have been appreciated!

Driver was 2 hours late due to delays with previous booking. Considering the fact I was meeting the landlord at the property to hand over keys, it was very inconvenient. I would have been more understandable if the driver didn't text me in the morning to say he was free from 9.30am if I wanted to move earlier. I'm suspecting the delay was due to the fact he took on a last minute booking despite the fact he must have known it would delay my move. I also asked few days prior to come with medium van. I was told to pay ÂŁ20 extra which is fine but would have been nice to forgive the ÂŁ20 as an apology for the delay as arriving at the new place 2 hours later messed up my plans for the rest of the day. No blankets provided either. He was respectful but overall I am disappointed. Would not use his service again.

I would have hoped he had helped to take things to the flat and not leave when we left things at the ground level hallway. Okay experience.
This man needs to charge more (although I'm eternally grateful he doesn't). Very professional, great vibe in the car with the music, turned up on time, drove quickly but safely, easy transaction and just a cool guy. Music was bang on and never forced conversations.

Edgar was OK. It was just he kept complaining that we should have booked a large van. From what I understand, we hired him for two hours of moving. I expected that we'll need to do atleast two trips so our stuff will fit. We did two trips. In two hours and a half. But he asked ÂŁ25 on top of the rate.. Instead of the ÂŁ10 per 30mins excess booking advertisement.

The driver's via stop fee plus mileage rate would also apply for any additional trips he was asked to make.
Edgar was outstanding. Helped me load and unload and offered to help me in to the office with our tools for work, despite the fact we hadn't paid for the service. On time, clean van, safe driver. Friendly without being annoying. Everything your could want for a delivery/courier. Will use again.

He was an absolute unit! We lived on the third floor of a flat block and he was running up and down the stairs carrying the heaviest boxes without even breaking a sweat! I’ve never had such a smooth move, he was absolutely fantastic. And I would highly recommend anyone to use him!

Edgar was early and got stuck in straight away - made the move a breeze. Helped me carry a whole load of heavy books and magazines up two stories and didn’t bat an eyelid. Great sense of humour, personable and reliable. I’d recommend him in a heartbeat.

Second time Edgar helped me with a move. He arrived on time on Sunday 14 May 18 at midday.He was very professional and careful with the items he moved. I definitely recommend him to anyone who needs 1 person move help.

The driver came 30 min late and asked continuously for my address and directions. He made me think that he was outside trying to find me and I spent 20 min in the rain looking for him and giving directions to reach my address. I booked an specific driver and they sent me a different driver. I didn't
understand his English and I think he didn't understand some of my words or indications as he sometimes wasn't following them. Overall, I found myself upset, unsatisfied and wet and cold from the rain. I'm really dissappointed with the lack of professionalism.

Hi,
Driver was over an hour late and one of my items was damaged in the move - luckily just a cheap bedside table so nothing of high value, so otherwise happy with the service.
The timing issue didn't affect me too much but annoying when you have set a time and end up waiting.
I will still use Man & Van to find a driver in future but maybe not just go for the first one I see!

Arrived on time. Helpful lifting all of my items and stored them carefully in the van so there was no damage. I booked the van for too long as I wasn't sure how long loading and unloading would take which he complained about, but better safe than sorry. Max 1 hour loading is needed for a medium van apparently. Would use again.
The driver was very late. His English is very poor and it was hard to communicate over the phone. He got to the wrong place and took ages to figure out where exactly we were. we had to wait over 1h for him. The van itself looked quite old and traveling at the front didn't feel very comfortable.

English very poor? Maybe, as is English not my native language, we didn't understand each other. When I got the Google link, I came on the other side and couldn't explain where I was, however, you couldn't tell me how to reach you. Some workers eventually showed me the road without a car and it was only the security quard who gave me full information.
Old van!!! ??? Its not a luxury limousine, however, all customers, both before and after you have felt comfortable always. It's not cold, not hot, and clear inside -always!
My fault - I used only the postcode and not the full address. I arrived early . Time to change location and the traffic took about 1 h. But the booking was finished 25 mins later. If we had started on time, we might have finished with traffic ( this area 4pm-7pm) at the same time.

Edgar came an hour early on our request with no problems, helped us out at every step, and is a master of tessellation. He didn't complain about the difficulty of the task, even when he had to navigate some pretty difficult parking situations! Could not have asked for a better service - thanks Edgar!

In ordering the van I had specified the size of the one article being transported. It was a mirror 78inches by 54 inches. The driver was surprised to see it and it was a challenge to fit into the van at an angle. I felt very wary that it would arrive intact. However it arrived intact. It would have been more appropriate to have a van which would allow it to be stood upright and secured to the side if the van.
I suggest you don't ask for descriptions on the website if you aren't going to use them

As an online booking platform we rely entirely on the customer to book the correct size van for your move, as only you know what you are moving. We provide a wealth of information on the website to help you to do this, including a Van Size Calculator and Size Guide and are always happy to help with advice if asked. We ask for a 'brief description' of what you are moving simply to give the driver a 'heads up' as to what to expect on the day as obviously he could be being asked to move anything from a full house move to a single item.

When off loading the items the driver bashed his van into the garage door which now has to be repaired as it cannot close

Unfortunately, when I parked by the garage, the gates were not fully raised. They were also invisible in the mirrors and the upper brake lamp was damaged.
The customers were just waiting for me to park without warning about the possibility of collision with the gates.

Yes. The whole thing was completed in 45 minutes. I booked the service for 2 hours. I payed him the remainder in cash of 46 pounds. Is there a way to refund the difference as it only took one trip and was completed in under 1 hour?
CMV Response: We are happy to hear that the driver completed your move quickly for you. However, there is no refund if you do not use the total time booked for. The reason for this is because the driver has been booked by you for that time and is therefore unable to take on any other work for that period.

The van wasn't quite as big as I'd expected.
The van broke, driver got lost several times on route (doubling the time spent driving) and he had a hard time helping us to carry the sofa, dragging it across the dirty ground causing lots of heavy stains, and bumping it hard on walls and edges. In his defense, it was a heavy sofa and a narrow staircase, so I'm sure we weren't his favourite assignment either. But he just kept pushing the sofa into the wall, not being able to take instructions on tilting and edging it upstairs. Apparently he didn't speak much English. Or he simply wasn't very used to carrying furniture, which is a shame since that's what we paid for.
As this was a flat move, the driver seemed surprised at the number of boxes and lifting items to take up stairs and was more exhausted than me (I am 55kg woman) . He was polite but perhaps not someone to handle fragile goods or a flat move.
Amazing helpful guy
Driver was very late, but my main problem was the lack of communication re this. I had to contact him when he hadn't turned up after 45 mins & that was when he told me he had just finished his prev job & wouldnt be with me for 45 more mins.
CMV response: The driver should have informed the customer of any delay and kept him updated on an arrival time, and also have informed the office who could have made a decision on sending a closer service provider. Driver now aware of this.
