However, he complained the entire time and was rude about payment.

Exceptionally bad service! If I could give zero stars I would.
I was informed with short notice on day of the job that my booking had been changed to another driver and helper. They arrived late, communicated poorly, had disrespectful attitude. And worked on a go-slow mode leaving me in the position of having to do a good majority of the work of moving boxes out of my flat to try and get things moving so would get to storage centre before it closed (not great when I hadn’t been feeling too well.)
When I raised concerns that after 3hrs they'd put hardly any items into the van and most of my items were left sitting outside at the mercy of the weather, they said they had a system. However, without me pleading for the items to be swiftly put into the van I really don't know when the job would’ve been completed.
I also had concerns about their level of experience, as I wasn't happy with them wrapping scotch tape around my wooden furniture, when I know it can be difficult to get off which they disputed.
Once my items were finally in the van taking 4hrs, they demanded that I pay an extra £100 because they said the job had taken an extra 2 hours and there were more than 3 flights of stairs if they factored in the few steps up to the entrance of the house. Plus they said they had brought a larger van. However, I feel the extra time taken was caused by their deliberate act of going as slow as possible and not being physically equipped or willing to do the job efficiently. Previous removal services I've used for same 1 bed flat removal have completed the full job that’s both ends within 3 hours.
When I attempted to highlight the delay issues on their part and how paying the full extra £100 wasn't reasonable I was aggressively shouted at repeatedly. For the sake of peace I was willing to pay part of the extra £100 demanded but I wasn’t given the opportunity to speak to say this. I was left feeling unsure what they were going to do with my stuff in the van, so much so I threaten to call the police. Saying this and giving up trying to communicate with them seemed to make them get my stuff to the storage centre. The place was close to closing when we arrived so I just said if they put my sofa and sideboard in the unit they could just leave the other items on the trolleys and I would do the rest. After doing this they once again demanded the extra £100. I pleaded to speak to say I’d need to get to a cash machine for the full amount. The driver followed me all the way to one. And I paid to simply escape from having to deal with them further.
The whole experience left me feeling quite traumatised and exhausted. I would never want anyone else to go through this. As a female, it was very disconcerting. The owning saving grace from the horrendous experience was that the storage centre staff member kindly kept the building open longer so I could get all my stuff into the unit and also made me feel that I had some level of safety/ protection.

Very disappointed that original driver cancelled at such short notice. BUT the man who came as a last minute replacement was excellent. He got there as quickly as he good given the last minute nature of his booking and we would not have been able to do our move successfully without his instruction and expertise. He worked his socks off without any complaint and knew exactly how to get our job donees efficiently and effectively. Highly recommend him.





when he come, he said I should have write lift and stairs and he said he charge £10 extra, when the sofa cannot get inside the lift, 2 floor stairs down, he charge me another £10 extra. My husband should be the helper but end up my husband doing most of the loading and unloading work then him. Ans he keep asking us to give him 5 stars and now I know why rating is there....Now I am rating honestly, what happen ? He still a 5 stars driver ? Just a joke on the rating system !
I am also not happy of changing the booked driver in last minute by you, you should send the man and van I picked! It is no meaning to choose the driver of u have the right to change , ridiculous !
