Compare the Man and Van "Refer A Friend" promotion (updated 31/05/16) - Terms and Conditions

Customers who have made at least one completed booking via www.comparethemanandvan.co.uk prior to Wednesday 30th March 2016, and are subscribed to our email newsletter, will be issued with a unique referral promo code. New customers who book with us before the closing date of this promotion can also request a referral code by following the instructions to create an account provided in their booking confirmation email.

Customers are encouraged to share this referral code with friends, family and on social media.

When a new user books for the first time through our website using a referral promo code, they will recieve a one-time £5 discount on the total price of this booking, provided that the Man and Van provider selected by the user has chosen to participate in this promotion. If the new user's booking costs less than £5, the remaining amount cannot be rolled over or claimed as a refund of any kind. Referral codes cannot be transferred, duplicated or sold and there is no cash value. If we suspect a referral code has been transferred, duplicated or sold, we reserve the right to cancel that referral code and all credit balance associated with it. The £5 booking discount is valid for use before the closing date of this campaign, which is 31st December 2016.

Once the new user's booking is fully complete (confirmed and fully paid for; the date of the booking has passed; no outstanding issues, payments, claims or queries exist) Compare the Man and Van will automatically credit the referrer's account with £5 value. This will be shown within the referring customer's account online at www.comparethemanandvan.co.uk The credit will show as "pending" until the relevant new user's booking date has passed.

You must use the same email address that you booked with in order to receive and withdraw your "refer a friend" credit. You must be 18 or over to benefit from the Refer a Friend offer.

Once you have accrued a minimum £25 refer a friend credit on your account, you can apply to withdraw this credit through the account page on www.comparethemanandvan.co.uk  There is no other way to request a withdrawal of your credit. Credit will be issued as cash in UK pounds sterling to the PayPal account matching the requesting customer's email address. We will not pay out to an email address that does not match the referrer's account email address registered on our website. You must have a valid UK PayPal account, or the ability to open a valid UK PayPal account, in order to receive your withdrawal. We will not issue credit in any other way. For example we will not pay your accrued credit as physical cash, cheque, bankers draft or by bank transfer. We will not issue credit in any currency other than UK pounds sterling. Any payments made are entirely at the discretion of the CEO of Compare the Man and Van.

The qualifying period in which to accrue credit is from 31st March 2016 at 12pm to 31st December 2016 at 11.59pm inclusive. Credit withdrawals must be requested within 7 days of the end of the qualifying period (by 7th January 2017 at 11.59pm). Credit that is not withdrawn by this time will be removed from your account and cannot be claimed retrospectively. These dates, including the closing date of the promotion and latest withdrawal date, may be amended at any time by Compare the Man and Van. If these dates are amended, we will notify registed customers via email newsletter, and also on this page.

The Promoter is Compare Everything Ltd t/a Compare the Man and Van, 117 Merton Road, London, SE19 1ED. Employees, agents, drivers and contractors of The Promoter are not permitted to use the Refer a Friend scheme. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend this offer at any time and for any reason. Use of referral codes and customer data that you provide may be monitored and analysed for fraudulent activity, within the bounds of the Data Protection Act 1998. If a customer is suspected of fraudulent activity or for any other reason, the Promoter may suspend the Refer a Friend activity of that customer, reset their credit balance to zero, and/or refuse to make payment no matter what value of credit has been accrued via the offer. The payment withdrawal method may be altered at the discretion of The Promoter at any time. The Promoter may ask for a copy of suitable personal identification from customers (passport or full driving license) to ensure that withdrawal payments are made to the correct person. Your Refer a Friend account history will be stored on our database for the duration of the promotion for the purposes of fraud monitoring. We will not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, costs, delays or other liability whatsoever which you may incur as a result of participating in this promotion.
