Moving on your own can be quite stressful and daunting but Lee made it simple! Lee actually made the day enjoyable with a good sense of humour and a friendly character. I would recommend Lee to anyone who wants a stress-free and happy move. I'll be sure to use him again. Thanks Lee!

Addressing this complaint regarding a damaged television:

I spoke to Nick regarding the tv the day following the move as he sent me pictures of his damaged tv, which had apparently had to be sent off to the manufacturers so they could identify the fault. The tv company subsequently reported that the tv was damaged from within and had not suffered a knock from the outside, as there is no evidence of any damage to the outer screen.

I was told by both Nick and the driver that the television was placed in a safe and secure position in the van (with it being wrapped both initially by the customer and again by us, as we wrapped it in a carpet). The tv was then placed behind a mattress so that nothing would be able to fall on it and damage it. I then tried to find out if there were any knocks or jolts that happened while driving, or anything that could have caused the tv to have moved inside the van, or be damaged. Both the customer and the driver have stated to me that this never happened.

I also asked if the driver had dropped the tv or if there had been any way that he could have damaged the tv from carrying it and he has assured me that there was not.

I feel I have done as much as I can to help with this matter as I do not want to have an unhappy customer, however, I cannot accept liability for damage we did not cause.

In a situation where we did not initially wrap the tv; it was placed in a position in the van we and the customer considered safe and the customer was happy with; it was not dropped and there was no driving accident, our insurance company will not cover a claim.
In addition, the television was initially wrapped by the customer prior to the move so there is no way for us to confirm whether the tv was defective before the move, it could conceivably have been damaged whilst the customer was moving it or wrapping it.

I have even investigated finding a cheaper repair option for Nick and feel that I have done as much as I can possibly do.

Lee was FANTASTIC, helped to move every single box, carried the heavier items for me and I always felt at ease with him despite the stressful nature of moving - if I could give higher than 5 stars I would - Very highly recommended!

The move itself seemed to go ok, despite being 40 mins late and hoping to leave before the 4 hours i'd booked for. However the real problem was that despite putting several layers of bubble wrap around the widescreen tv, writing fragile on it, and pulling lee aside to explain this is a tv be careful with it, it was still damaged in transit and is now useless. Anyway accidents happen i understand that so asked to claim on their insurance. Nope. Because they didnt pack it themselves and see it switched on before (of course we needed to have everything packed up and ready to go on arrival) no claim could be made. This wasn't pointed out as a precaution and not something i was aware of so kind of makes the insurance pointless. Anyway expensive moved with a junked 50" samsung tv.

Driver's response:

In answer to this review, it is wrong and there are some key facts that have not been told by the customer:

1. We were not late. We were specifically asked to come to this job later than the booked time as the customers wanted to delay the move due to key issues they were experiencing with the people moving out of the property they were moving into.

2. When we arrived at the second address we were asked to wait and then asked if we could go and find something to eat while we waited. We were happy to accommodate this but subsequently realised time was running short on the booking and we had our next booking to consider, which we did not wish to run late for. We therefore told the customer that we needed to get things moving. Ultimately, the booking did not run over time.

3. The broken tv was not reported back to me until 2 weeks after the move (the move was completed on 22 June and the damaged tv only reported on 8 July).

4. The tv was placed in a secure place and was not dropped or damaged during the move. It was in a box and was not seen before the move so we could not confirm when the tv was broken, whether it was during the move, before it came into the van or within the last 2 weeks of it being in the customer's home.
As neither myself nor the helper dropped the tv, nor did I drive recklessly or have an accident on the road, the tv was secure within the van and did not show any signs of damage when we placed it in the customer's home, I am unwilling to take responsibility for any damage.

I was very disappointed with the service, my van was booked for 11am and the driver didn't arrive until after 1 o'clock. This really messed up our plans for checking into our new property, and meant I had to sit waiting for over two hours. On top of this, he had a much smaller van than I had paid for, so we ended up having to do two journeys and wasting even more time! I've used man & van companies before and usually there's been no problems. so this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. It made our move very stressful!

Lee was great - I asked if he could come any earlier than my booked slot and he re-arranged it super quickly. I had a LOT of things to move, with him carrying the majority of my stuff (on a very hot day) with zero complaints. Would highly recommend.
