I would like to dispute the added fee over the central London charge, that I only discovered on the morning your employee came to my house. I do not believe it is fair to not include the total price in the original quote and make the customer pay for hidden fees after agreeing cost of service. I wouldn’t have booked this service if I had known from the beginning it’d be £11.50 over the displayed quotation, as I found another man + van supplier for under the total cost you are invoicing me for. Please could you look into this and cancel the £11.50 invoice – as I already paid £55.11 for which is already a lot given the short distance of the trip and duration of the service, especially given I helped carry most of the boxes myself as well. The pick up and drop off location are in the booking, so it should not be a mystery whether it will be required. Also not cool that I had to pay the entire congestion fee when presumably the driver had other jobs in the city that day. Does every single person pay the entire fee? CMV response: We do put a clear warning on the website (not in fine print) prior to booking, and also in the email confirmation you receive that if your booking incurs the Congestion Charge, that this will need to be paid to the driver directly and we are sorry that you missed these. We are unfortunately unable to include the Congestion Charge in the quote you receive as it is a Government tax. As your booking was the only booking that the driver completed on that date, you were liable to pay the Congestion Charge to the driver, who then had to pay it to TFL on your behalf.	4 years ago
