Company got switched last minute and van was one hour late as a result (not the drivers fault). Driver himself was great, very helpful.

They were cribbing a lot , one of them was on the phone lot of time. I made it clear when I booked that the destination is a house (ground and first floor) but he wanted to charge me more money. I asked the my builder workers to assist so that we can finish without any more fuss. I still tipped them 20.. I would never book these guys for my next move


Driver's response:

Firstly, I want to apologise on behalf of Henock Removals for the customer's dissatisfaction. We always appreciate our customers' comments as this helps us to improve our service and we always take strong action with our employees who do not comply with our rules.

I spoke to the driver and he told me he was delayed by about 25 mins to the booking. He did call the customers to let them know that he was unfortunately going to be late. On arrival he again called the customer to ask him the directions as the TomTom indicated that he arrived, but he could not see the customer. This was resolved and he was not far from the destination.

The driver admitted he suggested to the customer that if there were more people assisting, the job would be done faster, since there were builders around the house. There was quite a long distance to walk from A to B with a van load of items and some of the boxes were very heavy, over 45 kgs. The driver states that he was polite throughout the 2 hr booking and because of that he thought they got a £20 tip. He did also admit that he answered 2 calls during the booking, one of which was from the office.

In addition, we received a text at 9pm Saturday from the customer asking to reschedule the pick-up to 11:30am or 2pm. It was very late notice but I tried to help them by switching around some bookings, but it was really too late as it was hard to contact some customers. At that time I did explain this to the customer over the phone and he agreed to stick with the original time.

Both men were helpful, friendly and efficient. Can't fault the service at all especially as we'd been let down in the morning.

The 2 guys who came were very friendly and helped keep my stress levels to a minimum despite a few challenges - Mainly that the van was taller than requested so they weren't able to park in the building garage and had to park farther away. Unfortunately a few of the boxes were dropped on accident after the balance on a trolley tipped and I lost a mug along with a measuring glass. A few of my furniture pieces were also chipped (I think this was because no blankets were used). However, in the grand scheme of things these are pretty minor. So overall, it went pretty well.

Henoek was very friendly and warm in nature. He was very efficient and organised. It was a pleasure working with him. Fantastic service all round.
