He took control and provided directions on how the van should be structured and took the initiative to take/carry all of the heavy items. My only bit of feedback as we could not start the actual move until about 10 minutes past 10 (due to parking and having to move the vehicle). While that did not impact us too much, the second 1PM came around the driver left while I had many things in the hallway still. The funny thing is I had planned on giving him a £30 tip as a thank you (because I really liked his service), but given the abrupt departure at 1PM (especially given we started unloading about 10 min late), I decided to not provide the 'thank you' tip. Driver was on time Didn't have straps and blankets Driver was not respectful little care was taken when moving the sofa and caused damaged to parts of the flat when moving brother in law had to help as so little care was taken we had to take control to minimise further damage paid for driver plus one additional person to help but the additional person just ended up holding open doors while waiting for lifts at both ends of the journey the additional person was lying on the sofa completely unprofessional I am also a little unhappy about my original booking being changed to this driver with very short notice so we had no option but to go with the one you chose Not sure what our experience would have been with my original choice but this was made even worse given it wasn't someone I chose CMV response: We are sorry that you were left dissatisfied by the service you received from the driver, and he has been made aware of this and advised to improve his service going forward. In terms of finding you a replacement van after your original driver unfortunately became unavailable for your booking, this is done as a courtesy to you and so you are not let down for your move. Driver phoned ahead before arriving, arrived early and was happy to wait until we were ready to get going but we started ahead of schedule anyway which was a bonus! Incredibly efficient, helpful and kind. Driver phoned ahead before arriving, arrived early and was happy to wait until we were ready to get going but we started ahead of schedule anyway which was a bonus!
