Completed job - but they didn't seem that organised, we went over 45 minutes and had to pay an extra 50 pounds. My son and myself helped too. I think had they been more organised this would not have happened. Nice enough fellas, but not a very efficient way of doing it. Driver was not on time Had straps and blankets Driver was respectful Our driver Kevin was very respectful with our belongings so no complaint there. However his helper was extremely slow at times only carrying one item at a time and even the driver himself did not trust him to carry anything valuable or fragile meaning that he did basically nothing and evidently slowed the move down massively. The drive to our new home I was not present for as my partner and I took public transport due to there only being 1 spare seat in the van. He took 1 hour 45 minutes when it should have been an hour and 10 minutes tops. At the end of the move the driver then had the nerve to tell me the move had gone half an hour over the allotted time and that I would need to pay the extra time. Total move time 4 hours 45 minutes. 15 minute break at first address, 30 minute longer drive than should have been, paid for driver plus 1 helper and only had driver plus half a helper. I would say this slowed us down around about half an hour. Total move minus wasted time 3.5 hours. Would not reccomend Kevin due to this. FYI I paid the extra as the move was already stressful enough but i would definitely like this complaint to be communicated. Driver's response: Dear Toby, I hope all is well with you and your ankle is better. To start with, I do trust my guys and he wasn't slow, I just prefer to carry valuables and larger items myself. About how long it took us to get to your new address, yes on a normal day at and before or after rush hour time it would be 1 hr 10 mins tops. I am a very good driver and the estimated travel time for your move was 2 hrs 10 due to the hustle and bustle of the city and also where you live is bang in the centre, but I got there much quicker. Also, our job is to assist with the move, not do it by ourselves. About blankets and straps, I did put blankets on all 4 items and strap it up after. All the rest was bags and boxes so I couldn't do that, however, I note that no items were damaged. I also did not charge you for congestion. Parking also was not available and you wanted to park far away where there were yellow lines. The van is a 3 seater and it was your choice not to come with us. All your items were looked after. My worker is a very, very hard worker and he went above and beyond. I have never ever had a review like this before and I am confused why you said no blankets and straps were used. Once again, we are here to help you move and some items me and you moved while my guy did the rest. Is it so bad that I cared for your goods? The overtime is justified. Had some issues with tight hallways at destination but found ways around, including dismantling if needed. Unfortunately not everything fitted on the van due to weight restrictions but that couldn't be helped. The guys helped me unload and simply went about tidying their van for the next customer. They wouldn’t have left me in the lurch if the worst had happened and offered to load the van back up again to unpack back at my old flat if my landlord didn’t show. Great service. They were skillful and proud of their work. We hired them to move the larger heavy items we couldn't manage ourelves, but they were so fast and helpful they did the entire move. They got a good grasp of everything we had before loading and managed to fit everything in the Luton. Nothing was too difficult for them and they worked so hard. Our completion actually ended up failing on our initial moving day so we had to unload everything at a friends house in the evening once we received the news. Even though worked way later than booked, they didn't complain and were very patient with the whole process. I would definitely use them again. Thanks guys!	5 years ago

He's on point with what to load and unload first etc, the looks at what you have before we started. Lent us supplies to finish packing some last minute items. Kevin worked his socks off, was so respectful towards our fragile items and such a gent towards me. I even saw him helping this other lady struggling at the storage unit. I would highly recommend Kevin and would definitely use him again. I've already passed his number onto a friend. Also he arrived 15 mins early.	5 years ago
Driver was not on time Had straps and blankets Driver was respectful The original driver Ben Warren let us down at the last moment without any reason being given and therefore he deserves to be flagged as unreliable and given 1 star. Kevin, however, stepped in and was great - really helpful and courteous even though he missed out on a job later in the day because of traffic delays. I’d thoroughly recommend Kevin and exactly the opposite when it comes to Ben Warren. CMV response: Ben was actually very sick which is the reason he had to pull out of this booking. We are, however, happy that we were able to send you a replacement driver, rather than just cancel and refund the booking, and that you were happy with the service you received from Kevin.	5 years ago
