I was assured the van was adequate for the luggage I described - especially as no-one travelled with the driver. Why did the driver not tell us at the pickup? We could have taken the surplus in another car! Driver's response: "I took a Luton van on the day which was full from back to front with the customer's good on one level. I explained to her that I was only expecting 7 luggages and two bags. There were also stairs in the hotel which were not booked. I did call the controller to inform him that the customer was not happy with the price and wanted it cheaper before I even started the job. The customer needed to book the correct size van van. If you need evidence of the load size the hotel porters who helped me load the van can confirm. Thank you."	4 years ago

When they got to the flat they were very friendly and very quick in loading the van and unloading and they were very polite and a delight to meet I would defiantly recommend. Punctual, helpful and when I forgot my jacket in the truck, they came by two days later to drop it off before going to their next job. It was very kind of them! Driver was not on time Didn't have straps and blankets Driver was not respectful The driver was incredibly rude, insisted that he bring another driver (at a cost of an extra £50) and took much longer than necessary to arrive at destinations. He also refused to assist with loading and asked our assistant, who is very slight to move the items alone. Furthermore, he added an extra £50 to the journey (which we refused to pay) for 'running over', when this was due to his incompetence. Will be lodging a formal complaint. Driver's response: Pick-up address 1 I arrived at the address at 13.50 - 10 minutes early. It took me, my colleague and a gentleman from the premises 20 minutes to load the very large fences. This gentleman can confirm there were trolley, blankets and straps on board as I had to strap the fences to the sides and move the trolley to get the fences in. Pick Up address 2 It took 1 hr 40 mins to arrive. Google maps estimate a time of 1 hr and 19 mins, however, this does not take into account traffic. I took 30 minutes to load as they had a lot of items, again me and my employee helped to load as a goodwill gesture as the customer only hired 1 man for the job as they had their own helpers for loading. Final Delivery Address 3 It took 35 mins to reach this address (as also stated on Google maps) Prior to the delivery, during a telephone conversation, we discussed whether she would require an additional man as the fences were quite large and awkward to load and she declined. She stated that she will have her helpers. As soon as the booked time had elapsed, I explained to the customer that she will have to pay for every additional 30 minutes. She refused to pay and stated that she had already paid for the full job to be completed. I then called the office and informed the Control Team about the situation. They confirmed and agreed that I was within my rights to charge the additional costs. The customer's boss, was still being very rude and insisted that they would not be paying anymore. Then the customer, who was the one who had actually booked the job, confirmed to her boss that I was correct in charging the additional costs. I then continued with the job but told them that due to their rudeness I would not be helping as a second man (please note that they were not disadvantaged in this anyway as they had only hired one man and my employee took my role). James from the office called me and mentioned that the customer had complained that I was refusing to help but that was untrue as can be seen from the above explanation. I then called James as to whether I should help them as I was not being paid to do so, and he replied that it was at my discretion, so I decided that I would help as a goodwill gesture. (This meant that they now had 2 men, myself and my employee). I must emphasise again that the person who had booked the job agreed with the additional costs but her boss did not. kind regards Manny	5 years ago

In fact they were counting the minutes to leave, pushing us badly when were totally agree with paying more for extra time. They mentioned a couple of times that they were not feeling like working. Such a bad service for a stressful moment like this. We ended up letting them to go and finish by ourselves. We won’t ever hire your services anymore. CMV response: We do give full specifications for all van sizes, in particular the load area, on our Van Size Calculator on the website. Even though the driver was very helpful I don't think I would use this company again as it was very inconvenient for me to move out so late. The house that I was moving out was being renovated and builder were waiting for me to move my stuff out. Therefore everyone was delayed because of driver being late. Also terms and condition say that if driver is late you get refund of specific percentage depends how late van arrives which never happened. CMV response: The customer was refunded as per CMV's lateness policy. The driver was advised that in the event of lateness, he should inform the office, and the customer, so that everyone is aware and the customer then has the choice of an alternative service provider being sent to her if they are able to arrive earlier than the scheduled van.	7 years ago
