Driver was on time Had straps and blankets Driver was respectful I was given a quote for 4 hours and 3 men. I was also given a price per half hour should the move exceed the 4 hours. No mention of extra charge if more than one trip required and only 2 men arrived. The move did extend by 1 hour, which to my mind was due to there being one man down . I was still charged an extra 55£ and was told it was because 2 trips had to be done and that should have been 68£ but was given a discount for being one man down. The fact of the matter stands that this charge was NOT noted or mentioned at all on the quote emailed to me. Thank you . Sharon Nel Mrs
Driver's response: Hi, sorry for the slow reply, just always on the go!. I'm sure you can understand I unfortunately had one member of staff let me down on that day, however, I did turn up 30 minutes earlier and also had explained that I would deduct the difference and was assured by the customer this was ok. The job, irrespective of the extra man, was hard due to communal lifts and a long walk on collection. As a driver I certainly worked double hard. I reduced the bill we did 2 trips and also worked 2.5 hours over that I only charged £55 for and didn't charge for extra miles. I totally believe I was generous and fair and also completely shattered by the end of the job. However, I worked hard, was fair, most of all extremely generous with both time and money and went above and beyond to make up for the shortage of manpower..... | 4 years ago |

He made up for being late by staying longer than the booked hours to get the job finished. Helpful and friendly, and treated the whole house move as simple - which made it simple for me :)

But the van really is a tardis, and these guys have 4-dimensional jenga mastery to use every square inch! A potentially stressful day was quickly and calmy dealt with, I would give 6 stars if I could. Honestly, don't just go for the cheapest option - go for Russetts of England, you won't be dissapointed!

Driver was not on time Had straps and blankets Driver was respectful He did a journey which should have taken two hours, but it took him nearly 6 hours. I also couldn't get hold of him for most of this time and his battery died, so it was quite stressful. He said there was bad traffic, but I thought that many hours to do a journey from Newbury to London was pretty extreme. I had to pay a lot more to him for his time because of this. He was friendly though when he got there and didn't mind navigating his way through a building site.

I think extra money should be factor into the quote this will help solve any disagrement or misunderstanding in future

I booked 2 h to move my bulky items (sofa, beds, etc) locally and they completed the job in just under 2 h so there were no additional charges. Would definitely recommend.
